A series of spatial and functional upgrades enhance circulation, visibility and connection, supporting both brand recognition and user experience.

This proposal presents a comprehensive remodelling strategy for Gangnam Finance Plaza, a prominent commercial building on Seoul’s Teheran-ro. The goal is to elevate the building’s commercial performance through refined aesthetics, improved functionality, and enhanced spatial quality. Exterior Character

The exterior is refined with a clean, unified treatment that reinforces the building’s vertical massing and symbolic urban presence. Strategic integration of signage supports tenant branding, while the redesign of the parking entrance improves visibility, legibility and first impressions.

Interior Experience

A sculptural circular staircase becomes the centrepiece of a transformed double-height lobby, introducing vertical openness and natural light. The expanded volume replaces the existing low-ceilinged interior, improving circulation to second floor tenancies and creating a seamless transition between street and interior.
