A giga factory that merges brand, functionality, clarity, and climate performance - turning infrastructure into identity.

This next-generation factory concept reimagines industrial production as a scalable, site-adaptable system - an efficient product in its own right. The linear production process informs a modular layout, with utility infrastructure strategically positioned to support seamless flow. Production buildings form a strong perimeter, defining a controlled and efficient operational edge. Rather than a traditional industrial campus, the plan is conceived as a configurable puzzle: highly functional at its edge, with a centralised human-focused oasis at its heart.

Design Approach

Inputs and outputs are consolidated to minimise footprint and optimise logistics. Utility structures are embedded within the complex, positioned to support flexibility and reduce external sprawl. At the centre, a human-scaled courtyard offers light, air and amenity. This inward-facing configuration balances industrial output with worker wellbeing, creating a high-performance environment rooted in functionality, legibility and adaptability.

Roof & Systems

The roof of the L Giga Factory is more than shelter. The geometry shifts in density across the site, opening above the courtyard to bring in light and ventilation, while providing greater coverage and shading over production areas. Functionally, it integrates layered sustainability systems. Green roofs improve insulation and biodiversity; rainwater is collected for reuse; and solar arrays generate clean energy while reducing heat gain.
