A concept design was developed for a 120-metre mixed-use commercial tower in Seoul, commissioned as the new headquarters for the fashion and culture division of a globally recognised Korean brand. Positioned at the intersection of lifestyle and innovation, the client’s vision goes beyond function - aiming to elevate the everyday experience of employees, customers and the surrounding community through architecture that reflects creativity, purpose and identity.

The architectural language draws inspiration from crystalline depictions of mountains in traditional Korean art. Abstracted geological forms were used to guide the formal arrangement of the tower, translating natural emergence into a vertical expression of innovation and cultural ambition. The design seeks to balance clarity and complexity - creating a strong visual identity that aligns with the client’s forward-facing ethos.

Set beside a major highway and future greenway, the site is activated through an open ground plane that connects pedestrian routes and introduces new public space. Retail and cultural uses at street level create a civic anchor for the tower.

Form & Expression

The building mass is composed of four slender triangular volumes, each aligned with primary desire lines and key views toward the nearby Gwanak and Cheonggyesan mountains. These angled planes stretch vertically to emphasise lightness and visual precision, creating a shard-like silhouette that resonates with both the natural landscape and the energy of the city.
