Grounded in the interplay between natural topography, spiritual symbolism, and communal care.

Located in the foothills of the Chiaksan Mountains, this 112,880 m² masterplan transforms an existing spiritual retreat into a holistic campus for wellness, community and care. Commissioned by a private Christian foundation, the development integrates over 97,000 m² of new and remodelled floor area across a range of medical, residential, religious and cultural programmes. Key components include a medical centre, elderly care home, spiritual research centre, senior housing (500 units), church complex, and shared public amenities - all shaped by the client’s commitment to Christian values of restoration, dignity and unity.

Design Approach

The masterplan responds to natural topography, spiritual symbolism, and communal care. Organic volumes, soft materials and textured façades support a sense of belonging and introspection. Christian themes are embedded in the architecture through symbolic gestures such as cross-shaped light wells, tree-inspired façades, and layered courtyards - evoking growth, grace, and reflection.

Spaces, Connectivity & Space

A central green spine links worship, care, and living spaces—balancing privacy and openness through clear zoning. Landscaped courtyards and terraces create moments of pause and connection, supporting healing through form and rhythm.
